Hi Everyone and thank you for stopping by my site. My name is Christie Naeher, and I am a Licensed, Nationally Certified Massage Therapist, Reiki Practitioner focusing on Women's Health & Wellness. I am a Facial Rejuvenation specialist for aging muscles and skin, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point, Esalen, Prenatal, Myofacial Release, Fertility, Cranial Sacral and Bamboo Massage Specialist. I have been practicing my own signature therapeutic massage sessions for more than 6 years now. I graduated from the National Therapeutic Massage Institute, certified in some of the best massage techniques available to therapists, and I have a back ground in the chiropractic massage industry working with chiropractors in this area for several years.
Let me explain a little bit about what brought me to massage. I grew up in Northern Virginia and lived there most of my life. In June of 1996, I lost my husband of 15 years to a massive heart attack at the age of 42. I was left alone with two children to raise, my daughter was 10 and my son was 9. I focused my life on them, but when my daughter was at JMU and my son was about to graduate from high school to go to VCU, I decided that I needed to do something that would be good for me as well as for other people. That led me to going back to school and getting licensed and certified to do therapeutic massage. I loved it from the beginning. It was not the easiest course, but I was dedicated to learning everything I could about the human body and this healing art. This was the best decision that I ever made. I have met some amazing people who come to me so that I can help them heal. If I can help just one person reduce their stress, pain, and lower their blood pressure, it can help them deal with the pressures of every day life. It can also help them enjoy one more day with their families. Massage is so important to help keep you healthy, happy and pain free and able to deal with the stresses wives and moms face everyday.
I learn something new from each client that I meet, every client is different, and every client needs their own personal, custom massage. That is what I am committed to. I am now looking forward to living and working in the Charleston, SC area. I believe everything happens for a reason and I cannot wait to see what South Carolina has in store for me.
I feel it is an honor to work with my many clients. Most of them suffer with chronic pain, fibromyalgia and stress. To deal with that I have developed my own Signature Massage Session incorporating some Deep Tissue work with the long flowing and relaxing strokes of Esalen massage. I will also incorporate the neurological effects of Tragger. I love to combine, hot stone and different massage modalities like Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Deep Tissue Stretching, Gua Sha with Reiki to bring my own personal holistic approach to all my massage sessions. I can also incorporate Sacred Earth Vegan massage cream and Celectial Embrace Arnica Massage Balm for our clients. I am now offering Fertility massage and Bamboo massage for those clients who have denser muscle tissue and have trouble getting that deeper tissue work that they need.
It is important to me that my clients receive a personalized, safe, healing experience. I also feel that Massage, Reiki and Cranial Sacral work have become the most beneficial ways for my clients to de-stress and heal. Massage is quickly becoming an important part of our lives to help us maintain a happy and healthy lifestyle in this hectic, stressful environment we all live in today.
