I have been practicing massage and women's health care now for over 6 years. A lot of women suffer with back pain but do not understand why. Have you been told that you have one of these spine issues? They can be the cause of your chronic back pain. Massage and Gua
Sha can help you deal with the pain these spine issues can cause. Have you been in an accident and don't know why you are still suffering from pain? Scar tissue could be the cause. I will work with you to break up that tissue and free areas of the body that have been trapped by scar tissue.
- Lordosis. Also called swayback, the spine of a person with lordosis curves significantly inward at the lower back.
- Kyphosis. Kyphosis is characterized by an abnormally rounded upper back (more than 50 degrees of curvature).
- Scoliosis. A person with scoliosis has a sideways curve to their spine. The curve is often S-shaped or C-shaped.
Have you had a hip or knee replacement and not getting the results that you had hoped. Massage can help to avoid the build up of scar tissue and adhesions during the healing process that are chronic problems after surgery. Massage helps keep the muscles and tendons flexible and helps keep adhesions from becoming an issue with flexibility and range. Another huge cause of lower back pain is sitting for long hours at work or in the car causing what is known as piriformis muscle syndrome. This is easily corrected with release of the piriformis muscle unfortunately, not all therapists know how to release it properly. This can also be a factor if you are a golfer.

Each massage session will include, heated towels soaked in Epsom Salts, Hot Stones, Gua Sha (if needed), Esalen, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Aromatherapy, Head, Neck & Shoulder concentration, Facial Massage and Reiki (only if asked to be included and a scented headrest to your choosing). Only organic skin care products and highest quality Sun's Eye essential oils are used! (No standard massage oils are used here!) Deep Tissue Massage is priced accordingly to the amount of work and time, and is all inclusive as well. So come see and experience the difference! (Hot Stones will not be used on anyone with uncontrolled blood pressure.)
So many of the pain issues that we deal with on a daily basis can be managed by massage. Fibromyalgia, scar tissue, lordosis, kyphosis and scoliosis pain can all be managed with massage from a skilled and certified therapist who specializes in these forms of pain management.
Massages sessions start at $80 for one hour. I offer full 60 minute and 90 minute sessions are available. The facial massage sessions are approximately 90 minutes. Out calls are in Mount Pleasant area only and an hour out call massage starts at $90.

Christie graduated from the NMTI and is a Nationally Certified Licensed Massage Therapist and has been
practicing in women's health and pain management massage for 6 years. She opened Indigo Blue Massage & Wellness, LLC, For Women's Health in June of 2009 as a new beginning for her career. Christie
specializes in helping women battling against breast cancer and other female issues such as menstrual migraine headaches, chronic pain from fibromyalgia, arthritis, MS, Prenatal pain, Facial Rejuvenation for aging muscles and skin and recovering from any plastic surgery. Our facial massage helps with swelling and bring blood circulation to the face to help in healing and adhesions.

Christie also uses warm, moist towels to start to relaxing those stressed muscles, and a warm scented towel on your face to finish. Christie likes to use as many massage techniques and modalities incorporated into your massage to give you that "custom massage session" at no extra cost to you.
FOCUS:
Women's health is my primary focus in this practice. Women have so much stress in their lives. We are successful business women, wives, mothers and friends. Here at Indigo Blue you can relax, regenerate and receive the type of care that helps us do what we need to do every day. I will also be offering Fertility massage May 2011.
Each session includes organic jojoba oil, or vegan massage cream, heated towels for achy muscles, scented headrest, warm stones for those more stubborn muscles, Gua Sha treatment where needed, with a head, scalp, facial massage and a warm scented face towel to refresh you when it is all over. Our heated towels are soaked in Epsom Salts to start the healing process for those achy muscles. If inflammation exists, a cool pack will be used to decrease the inflammation. It makes me feel good to help you deal with whatever pain or chronic pain you may be dealing with.
